We are a Basel-based team of scientists, engineers and banking specialists. We build and operate technology platforms — and we bring that same depth of expertise to every client engagement. Two technology competences. Deep domain knowledge. One firm.

OUR COMPETENCE

Two technology platforms. Live.
Both built by our team.

Most technology firms advise on AI or blockchain. We built platforms in both and operate them today. They are the most honest demonstration of what we can do for your institution.

How we engage

From business case to live operations.

We work with financial institutions at every stage of a digital initiative. Our value is the same at each: the experience of a team that has actually built and run production systems in both AI and blockchain, combined with deep first-hand knowledge of how banks and regulated firms operate.

01

Business case & feasibility

We help you assess the opportunity, quantify the impact, and define a credible implementation path before resources are committed. Rigorous and direct — we will tell you if the business case isn't there.

Design & technical consulting

Data models, systems architecture, technology selection and an independent view from engineers who have shipped AI and blockchain systems into production. Not vendor-aligned. Not theoretical.

Bespoke development using our in-house engineering team. We build on our own proven components — UI & back-end frameworks, NLP pipelines, smart contracts & high availability data centre infrastructure — to reduce time and risk significantly.

Regulatory & compliance advisory

Deep expertise in MiFID/FinSA, FATCA, AML/KYC, OECD-CRS, and core banking system implementation. Banking knowledge that most technology firms simply don't have.

Domain knowledge

We don't just understand technology.
We understand banking.

Being based in Basel is not incidental. Basel is home to the Bank for International Settlements, the Basel Accords, and some of Europe's most significant private banks. Our founder Hans-Peter Gier began building banking technology here in 1997 with the founding of Banking Concepts AG — and our firm has operated in this environment continuously for nearly three decades.

Our team includes specialists in international tax compliance, regulatory reporting, MiFID/FinSA, AML/KYC, FATCA, OECD-CRS, core banking systems (Avaloq, Olympic), and quantitative portfolio management. We understand the cost, the risk, and the regulatory landscape of every initiative we propose. That is not typical for a technology firm. It is our most important differentiator.

Blockchain · tokenisation

Digital share issuance for an international manufacturer on TWEX®

Challenge

A Swiss pipeline manufacturer needed to issue digital shares to international investors outside traditional exchange infrastructure, with full legal compliance under Swiss DLT law.

Blockchain · provenance

Digital Product Passport for a luxury jewellery brand

Challenge

Beyond Pangaea, a Swiss luxury jewellery brand producing limited-edition pieces, needed a way to authenticate each creation and give collectors verifiable, permanent proof of provenance — without relying on paper certificates or centralised records that could be lost or falsified.

AI · financial data intelligence

Corporate action data quality for SIX Financial Information

Challenge

SIX Financial Information — operator of the Swiss Stock Exchange and one of Europe's primary financial data providers — needed to improve the completeness and timeliness of its corporate action database: AGMs, dividends, premature redemptions of preferred shares. When companies did not file through SIX's structured data channels, events were missed or captured days late. Manual sourcing from corporate websites and publication media was costly and inconsistent across 5,500+ companies in 29 major indices.

Blockchain · tokenisation

Connected banknote and CBDC prototype with the Swiss state printer

Challenge

Central banks exploring digital currencies face a fundamental tension: a purely digital CBDC excludes citizens without smartphones, bank accounts or digital literacy — precisely the populations that physical cash serves best. Any credible CBDC solution needs to bridge the physical and digital worlds without abandoning either. At the same time, the infrastructure for issuing, managing and monitoring a national digital currency must satisfy the security, privacy and regulatory standards that a sovereign monetary authority demands.
